What should i get for upgrades?

Just wondering what should I get in the future as in upgrades for better performance, I dont really play those big high graphic games im still into counter-strike so not too much

AMD XP 2400+
Asus A7N8X Deluxe
IBM DeskStar 40GB
Kingston DDR400 512MB
Lite-On CD-ROM 56X
Sony Floppy Drive
Thermal Take Xaser II
Antec 300W PSU
Apollo Geforce 4 MX 440 SE SDR AGP
4 Red L.E.D. Fans 80mm

So far im thinking of getting a new case, because i hate the current one i have, I wish to get something more like a Cheiftec case. Just a regular tower case and everything else i dont know what should i upgrade prolly thinking the Graphic card since under the smoke i drop to 50 FPS and it gets kinda hard to shoot. And maybe another hard drive and a cd-burner and get a dvd drive.. What do you think?
 
Videocard, definitely.

Case, sure.

PSU, probably a given.

Processor, barton is a bit faster...
 
Gotcha, Was thinking of that from the performance of the card anything else i should get upgraded for the future i must say.
 
I'd say upgrade your videocard to something else. You'd probably want to look into 9600XT, 9700pro and 9800np.

I wouldn't upgrade to a Barton. Is that 2400xp at stock or are you ocing? It'd be ~$90 minimum for a very unnoticeable performance increase.

I'd also probably get a solid-named PSU. Maybe a 430 or 480?

Maybe upgrade the case in terms of aesthetics. I personally think that the Xaser cases are much too "busy", but it's up to you. Might I suggest something big enough to WC? It'd be a nice project to take up some of the spare time that everyone seems to have too much of around here. I'd probably go for Lian-Li's PC60, but you can hunt for something else if you'd like to have something unique.
 
its a stock 2400+ and im really looking into full tower pc's they just fit my taste really nothing else will. Yes i am upgrading my graphic card ;o
