My planned rig looks like this:

EVGA SLI LE Motherboard
12GB Corsair XMS3 1600 RAM
Crossfire 5870's. (We'll say Sapphire for brand name's sake)
i7 920 D0 (OC'ed to 3.5ish)
WD 7200RPM 1TB HDD

How big of a power supply am I going to need, and how much will it cost? I have looked at a few calculators and they usually suggest 900-1200 but I figured that the [H]ard community could help me out just as well if not better. Thanks a million!

650w will do fine. Each 5870 draws less than 200w and the cpu will probably draw around 150-200 max

There are many good PSU choices. I like Corsair for lots of reasons. These two models are modular as well. There are cheaper non modular versions of the same wattage under TX- prefix.
 
Thanks guys! All your suggestions have been very helpful. I am glad that I won't have to shell out the money for a 1000w PSU since I know now that I wouldn't use that much power anyway. :) You guys are fantastic.
 
Go with the Sentey Golden Steal(best performer of the lot and also 7 years warranty) or the Lepa G700(great deal, excellent price/performance ratio)
This would be a great choice too, Thortech Thunderbolt 650W ;)

I'm running i5 2500k with 6gb ram and gtx 560 ti o.c with ssd and 5 fans ;D

You're talking about a computer that uses around 300-400W of power at maximum load. The fact that a "700W" Raidmax can handle it is not impressive. I hate to break it to you, but a 700W PSU that costs $60 brand new is not a quality product.
 
Aye, avoid Raidmax altogether, they're trash.. your PSU is an Andyson F Series with a 12V combined output of 492W, so it is in fact a 500W unit not a 700W one ;)
