I have the DD DD12V-D5 and I'm currently bleeding it but I was wondering what others have their pump set to. I have a 1/2" setup going to 2 DD Black Ice Xtreme Radiators and cooling an AMD X2 3800 and 2 7800 GT EVGA vid cards. Obviously the highest setting is way to high since it tends to cavitate but I don't want it too slow either.

So what are others setting theirs to?
 
Does your cavitate at all at that speed? have you tested it at a slower speed to see what kind of temps your getting?

How long does it take to get the air out anyway? I've got a lot of microbubbles.
 
mine took forever to get all of the bubbles out but that may be because i have a t-line, and there were always small pockets of air somwhere in the loop which made it take longer.
 
I too have a t-line (which was demoed on the instruction video you can download for DD). I have no reservoir either since I have a dual rad setup.
 
I just set up my loop yesterday (D5, TDX, Maze4 GPU and NB, PA120.2) and I'm having no problem with the pump set on 5. I have a few microbubbles every once in a while from the res (since I only have about 9 hours of on-time at this point) but my system is practically dead silent. Lots and lots of flow too. Good luck.
 
24 hours should get most of the bubbles out, a few more days for it to clear up completely. HOWEVER, you could have air pockets trapped in your radiator, which when periodically dislodged will add a whole new crop of air bubbles to the loop. Try to rotate your case around a bunch (with everything securely fastened of course) to jostle loose any potential air pockets from the radiators.

BTW, I have my D5 set to about 3 1/2. I am very sensitive to sound and the pitch of the pump at that setting is the one which is most easily dampered by the case / unnoticeable. The pump is quiet on all settings, but on this setting is essentially silent in my case.
 
I've got mine turned way down. Around 1 or 2. I like it quiet.
 
I'm actually going to amend my leaving it at 5 statement. I will eventually have it at 5, but I had a ton of froth when I first turned it on. I think a good methodology is to turn it to 1 and let it get bubbles out (since the water's moving more slowly, the bubbles have more of a chance to get out of the stream, at least in my t-line setup), then turn it to 2, 3, etc. I'm up to 5 now after about 16 hours and I just have a few left. The system's still dead silent though :)
