My trusty 24" sony crt has started showing a green tint to everything, it's a lot fuzzier than it used to be and it's started making a whining noise at random times, I think it's time for a new screen. I tried the Dell u3011 but had to sell it as it had this stupid effect over the screen that made whites and other brighter colors look sparkly and I couldn't bare any more, A friend at work gave me the monitor as he ordered to many for his workplace.
Anyhow I will be using the display for mainly 3D real time graphics design, texture artisry and of course gaming, I'm NOT sensitive to monitor trailing (I have an eye condition which means everything trails!) but I do like to play quite competitive and fast paced fps's (quake 1 tournements, unreal tournament, fight-to-survive, mr greens zombie survival etc), Also obviously use it for the usual browsing the net, checking emails and stuff.
I use 3dsMax, Mudbox, Photoshop and a variation of real time engines (depending on the contract)
Needs to be high resolution and fairly big so I can see it. Any recommendations?
