what;s the best diver for 4870X2 in XP now ?

Is that 8.6 or official 8.8 or 8.9 beta ??
of course in XP 4870x2 really poor performace for crysis
and I played "STALKER-clear sky " with
QX9550 3.4G + DDR2 1066 8G (of course only 3.25 G in XP) + 4870x2 on XP SP3 ==> I try CCC 8.9 beta
--> 1920*1200 max with full dynamic lighting effetcts ; as the pictures

the FPS around 25~40 sometimes up to 50
but if "the whole effects in the advanced options all up to max " --> only 15~20

SO,
1 . is that improved (all max but better FPS) in vista
2. what's the best diver for 4870X2 on XP SP3
3. what is the best option for playing clear sky (the most close to the full max but the better FPS)

The 8.8 Release driver worked great for mine in Windows XP. I had awesome performance and absolutely no issues with any game I tried.

But wont you be crippled in WinXP with 4gb of dram and another 2gb from the 4870x2? Or are you talking about XP 64?

On the Intel DX48BT2 (X48 chipset) with 4GB of RAM installed using Windows XP Professional (32bit) and a 4870 X2 installed I had 2.99GB of RAM left over. I always got excellent performance out of the 4870 X2.
