Here is my Doom3 setup that i plan on buying. Im just not sure what kind of ram i need. can someone give me a newegg link?

ABIT "KV8 Pro" K8T800 Pro Chipset Motherboard for AMD Athlon64 CPU -RETAIL $101.00

AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 512KB L2 Cache, 64-bit Processor - OEM
$167.25

SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON 9800 PRO Video Card, 128MB DDR, 256-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP -BULK $193.00

PS feel free to reccomend a better doom3 setup for the same price.

thanks!

how about this stuff?
Kingston ValueRAM Dual Channel Kit 184 Pin 1G(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200 - Retail $156.00

all i know is i want 3200 ram. i dont know anything else about buying ram. eg. i dont know what ddr2 is or how many pins i need etc. or weather or not it will be compatable w/ my board.
also $156 seems a little steep to me. can you guys find a gig of 3200s for around 100$?

thanks

ur not gunna find a gig of any speed for 100$, 156 is probly the lowest youll see unless u buy used.

well... if this is the cheepest stuff, is it good enough for doom.
and will it be compatable with my mother board?

Your motherboard can't take advantage of dual channel.

Go with either geil or crucial. The kingston value ram will be fine though.

I always recommend Crucial. Doom doesn't need any magic RAM to run, if you shell out for expensive performance RAM, not like you get a super performance boost.
