I know before I said that I was getting the Enermax 600W NosieTaker ... but it now seems that I could be getting these quicker than I thought.

Due to the hefty price tag of the Enermax 600 Watt PSU, I was going to look for an alternative, I think 480+ is a good idea.

Reason why? ... the PSU I am currently running (350 Seasonic) is £50 GBP with a case, so it's worth round about £20/30 GBP's after overclocking a bit (222 FSB) on load I get reboots.

So a PSU it is I have made a small list of PSU's that look not bad.

Tagan TG480-U01 480W Black-Edition Silent PSU

HiperPower 525Watt ATX2 24Pin 23db Triple Fan PSU
http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/pro...?code=PSH-4S525

.... or should I save up for:

Cooler Master Silent Real Power 550W ATX PSU w/ Power Disp.
http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/pro...x?code=PSC-550W

I made sure these were all the better brands as oppose to any cheap-never-heard-of-ones.

I'm hoping to load this into a Thermaltake Tsumnidream.

I'd like the PSU to run 24/7 and not run up electric bills.

I'll be running (at worse case) 2 x 7800's, X2, 4 sticks of RAM 4 GB, 5 HDD's and some PCI devices I hope 500W can power these.

Well if you are short on funds, you could go with one of the lower tier powersupplies you listed and combine it with the 350 Seasonic you currently possess. A little wiring and soldering and you will have a dual PS system that can take your worst case scenario detailed above.

I would be leary of running your worst case scenario on a 480W. power supply.

your spending a small fortune on components but getting cheap on powering them?

its not the watts its the amps (where those watts are),
and its the rail stability and how clean the power is that should be your concern

Id recommend an nVidia SLi certified supply
better to run it all out of a cardboard box than shortchange the power
especially if you aspire to overclocking

So should I get the Coolermaster?

Is it me or is only the Enermax 600W the ONLY SLi certified supply unit!?

Okay, so it's better to just save up!?

Antec TruePower 2.0 550W PSU

or

Noisetaker 600W?

It's out of my budget but maybe I could save?

considering what your investing in the rest of the rig
yes Id save up for a certified supply ;)

Id also work up the numbers
there are cheaper supplies that will certainly do the job, but they should be ATX12V v2.0 compliant, and have adequate amps on both the +12V rails for your specific config
and you should be aware that youd want to employ one strand on the wiring harness (all connectors on a strand) per card, youd use only 2 of the 4 pin molex on those strands to power each card with an adapter.
and power the rest of your peripherals with whatever strands are left over (drives, fans, pumps ect)

so having the dedicated strands with the 6 pin video connector is generally a better plan

Id also add the Seasonic S-12 600Watt to your shortlist

Agrh I'm confused. :( ..... so I've made a hit list!

Hiper HPU-4B580 580W Modular PSU
Cooler Master Silent Real Power 550W ATX PSU w/ Power Disp
Enermax 600W NoiseTaker

Say I was to get the Hiper one I could order it ASAP, however the 600W one I'd have to save up more. :(

Take Ice's advice and save up for at least the Enermax EG701AX Noisetaker 600W or Seasonic S12-600.
