what program to control 6800U fan speed?

If you install coolbits, there's a checkbox in the overclocking tab that says "fan always on".

i believe gainward has a tool that can control fan speed.

IIRC, u need to flash ur videocard to gainward bios tho to enable that one to work... might be wrong tho, never hurts to try. The option in drivers about "always on" is intended for suspend mode me thinks... 'cause by default, my old 6800gt used to shut it's fan when in suspend but GPU kept running and when I exited suspend, it was always hot. :p

all i know is that the keep fan running option doesnt do anything to the fan speed.

YAH I used gainward on my pny ultra..works like a charm..the only thing u will be missing by not flashing to a gainward card is the "optimize" button..which just overclock ur ultra to 450/1200....only guranteed to reach this speed if i is one of those special gainward cards...
