I just bought a Hercules 9800 Pro and wanted to see what the best application to over clock it with?

Thanks.

I use RivaTuner.

The good thing about RivaTuner is that it does not stay resident.

You set your core/memory speeds then exit the program. Your settings will be retained even after a reboot.

God I hate resident programs !!!!

the only problem is if you accidentally set the clock speed higher than the card can support, and it fubars your display, no amount of restarting can save you.

I just switched teams and bought a 9800 Pro also. Very pleased so far. I've also just started turning up the juice and have had very good results with RadLinker. It's built into the Omega 2.5.22 (Cat4.2)

It's a little different than the clocking tools that I've used in the past. You create basically a special shortcut "radlink" for each of your games or benchmarks and then specify custom clock settings, D3D, OpenGL, etc. ...... for each game. When you run the game your settings are applied and then it switches back on exit.

The Omega dude included it as a surprise in this driver release. I think I'm gonna email him and thank him. And Chris, your radlinker rocks!!!!! Any of you guys tried it?

This is from the RadLinker Site

RadLinker is new tweaker/linker for ATI Radeon based graphics cards. RadLinker features:

Absolutely no programs running in the background

Does not bloat the registry

Per game/program settings

Control over process priority

Per game/program clock rate settings

As many unique game profiles as your computer can hold

Custom profiles for all your games

RadLinker allows you to create a "RadLink", a special kind of shell link (a.k.a. shortcut) to your games/programs that allows you to change it's individual settings. A RadLink will look and act just like a normal shortcut except it's property settings can be custom tailored for your video settings.
