My new mobile 2600+ cost me $88 and is doing 2.4ghz on air.

The reason for the Athlon XP Mobiles, is because they are the latest craze for overclocking. You can overclock them beautifully on air cooling. One of the main things is, they start off at lower voltages. For the same speed they have 1.45 voltage, instead of 1.65.

But I havent seen a 2600 for $88 in a while. The prices on these have gone up a lot since their re-release.

Newegg.com has the Athlon XP Mobile 2500 OEM for $91.00
So about $100+ with shipping.

The 2600 is $99 before shipping

The 2400 is $78 before shipping.

So basically the 2400 is in the price range he suggested. But not including shipping.

d'oh, guess they raised the prices already. anyway, they do have free shipping on all the mobile procs at newegg.

Yeah, So I would idealy get the 2500 or 2600 just because. But he could idealy get away with the 2400. Don't they all perform the same basically?
