I own a evga 1300 g2 using it at the moment.

I have owned the ax1200 it died 2 times in current rig. Corsair sent me back a ax1200i as a replacement.

should I just sell the two I currently have and get a ax1500i

Running 3 780 gtx cards OC'd
a 3930k oc @4.8
Rampage iv extreme board
Massive water loop with 9 Corsair fans.

I can't say for sure but it has to be on the edge of 1200 to kill 2 ax1200 power supplies

Assuming 100% load probably around 1k, with about 90A on the 12v rail.

Electrolytic capacitor aging. When used heavily or over an extended period of time (1+ years) a power supply will slowly lose some of its initial wattage capacity. We recommend you add 10-20% if you plan to keep your PSU for more than 1 year, or 20-30% for 24/7 usage and 1+ years

Guess this is why my ax1200 kept dying LOL..

I would think I need at least 1300-1500 ps

1200 should be enough, like I said, you would be 90A on the 12v rail, at 100% load, which almost never happens (I mean 100% system, not just GPU), and with 15% aging you should be able to power the system with a 1k PSU, assuming the PSU at hand is up to snuff, it happens though as it would be at the limits for the 1k PSU and you would want more for headroom and extra aging, but it should not pop right away, if it did, I would expect something was wrong with the PSU to start with or a really harsh environment.

Load of crap.

I have an AX 1200 that's three years old. Has been running any combination of dual and triple GPUs, watercooling, you name it and is solid as it gets.

I'd just sell off the RMA model and keep running the EVGA. Why tear everything down.

That said I don't think one is better than the other.
