Here are my parts:

-Venice 3000+ Athlon 64 (will be OC'ed)
-DFI LanParty UT nF4 Ultra-D
-2x1GB Team Xtreem Cronus 3-3-3-8 PC4000
-Sapphire X1950XT or eVGA 7950GT KO Superclocked or XFX 7900GS (haven't decided)
-1 160GB SATA1 Seagate HDD, 1 80GB Western Digital IDE ATA100 HDD (i'm also buying another SATA2 HDD soon, probably 160GB at least)
-Antec Sonata (the original) case
-Zalman CNPS9500 fan (don't know if that will help you or not)

What power supply will provide me with AMPLE power?

A friend recommended Fortron AX500 Bluestorm:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817104934

But someone said the 30A isn't enough on that +12 rail, and they recommend the OCZ PowerStream 520W SLI:
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=316506

Which of these two will be sufficient? Should I take the OCZ to future-proof myself? Or do you have any other good power supplies in this price range that will provide similar/more performance?

Looks good, but is it worth just to put in the extra $ and get a powerstream? And it looks like that Corsair is modular...or is it part modular, part normal? I see the normal cables in the newegg pics as well.....I somehow don't trust modular, the ones I've seen are a bit shaky. I'm hoping this Corsair is different?

I just installed mine last night and when you get it and install it everything about it screams quality.

Hmmm...although that does look enticing, I've had bad experiences with mail in rebates, and are you sure the NeoHE can handle this? I've heard a lot of Antecs lately have problems....

More than enough power. The "problems" you speak of have mostly been solved. It was more of an incompatibility with certain motherboards.

Ok, well I have had bad luck with rebates in the past, so I will look at the Antec as 100$. Is it worth the extra money to just buy the Corsair HX520, or will the NeoHE be enough? Can someone give me a link for the NeoHE reviews on the 550W model? I'm just a bit skeptical about it (I used to love Antec a lot but I've lost a bit of faith after the problems, which you have said now are "motherboard incompatibilities")

LOL, another opinion now. So, final decision, should I just go for the Corsair? The Antec deal is over....and no one's said anything about the Fortron. Is it a good value?

Corsair hx520 > Fortron BlueStorm500. If you've got the cash, go for the Corsair.

xxxxxxOk, heres my question rephrased. Will the Fortron AX500 Bluestorm be POWERFUL enough to power my PC with no HICCUPS?

Spend the extra $20 on the Corsair - you won't be sorry.

While the FSP Blue Storm is a fine and quality unit, the Corsair (Seasonic made IIRC) is quite a bit better.

Don't even consider the OCZ. It's crap compared to your other options.

The fsp is not crap. Simply put, there are better options, and the Blue Storm is rather obsolete.

Funny, a lot of OCZs are built by Fortron. So which one is it? :D

I too will chime in with corsair, if your lookin to save a lil cash though, look around for an Ultra X2 550, I have one, and it works wonderfully for pretty close to the same system your configing but with an ASUS MB and an X2 4200

I don't think that 520W PowerStream is built by FSP, at least not the one with the three status LEDs on the backside. Apparently it's quite a turd, but your mileage may vary.

Powerstream and modstream are built by topower. GameXstream is built by FSP. Evostream is built by 3Y, in which FSP has a controlling interest.
