What notebook should i get? Need really nice screen.

Im looking to buy my first notebook and want a very nice screen. I ideally want a 15" widescreen WSXGA+ thats very crisp with no light leakage. I was looking at the e1505 but after talking to people it looks pretty boring and plain. I want core 2 duo, 1 gig of ram, 80 gig, no need for dvd burner, wireless, and a decent graphic card. Budget is around $1,500. What should i get?
 
I suggest the Dell E1505 that you were looking at....I think Dell laptops are good for home consumers. If you would prefer not to go with the Dell then look into HP dv6000t. Look at the Lenovo T60 if you have the money.
 
For a widescreen Thinkpad he'd want a Z series, not a T60. Love Thinkpads myself, though I've never owned one due to cost (my dad has had a few over the years on company tab...).
 
I think the E1505 is too bulky. The guy in the room next to me has one and whenever I see it I think it's way too big. That's just me though. His has a glossy screen which looks alright but I like the screen on my MacBook better personally, I haven't seen an 1505 with a matte screen but I have seen a Dell D820 with a matte screen and I much prefer the size of that laptop and it's screen was really nice, the one I used was WUXGA though but it was still really nice.
 
I always received compliments on how nice my screen was on my old 9300 inspiron but the glossy was too annoying for work. If you care more about how your laptop will fare as a media device, the dell's aren't too shabby. I recently bought a macbook pro and the matte screen is phenominal for matte, very happy with it, as the image quality is amazing but the vertical viewing angle is pretty slim.
 
I really like the thinkpad z series, which z model would you recommend or are they mostly the same. I like the hp dv6000t but id rather have a higher resolution on a 15.4" then 1200 x 800.
