Well im a die hard RatpadZ fan. I have to say i have both of them and they are durable.

Cept for the 1 flaw Ratpadz 1 is nice size, pretty thick, but bows after a year of use...making it hard to move a mouse over it.

Ratpadz 2 (GS) is nice, bigger surface, but the surface wore out FAST...like under a year of use there are spots that are almost completely smoothed out. So now its time for something different....

Let me know what you guys using for mouse surface....i want something that will last, smooth..and has a decent size mousing area.
 
Xtrac with mad wax, Had it for about a month now and is pretty good. The wax makes it fly
So it took alittle getting use to. Newegg has em in different sizes.

Oh forgot, even the scroll wheel is smoother :D

Which Xtrac you using? HS? Zoom?
 
I love my mouse pad. I have been using it since Max Payne came out and the pad was included in the box :)

My desk is really smooth black and white faux marble. Works better than any mouse pad I've ever used and I don't have to worry about space problems. Got lucky with that beast I must say.

I'm using a RatpadzGS, I've had it for about a year now. It's a nice pad, but it wears out so fast :(. I need to replace mine because as it wore out, it has these spots where the mouse just gets stuck.

That func1030 looks kewl, 2 different surfaces....how does it react to the wear and tear of a hardcore gamer? I wore my Ratpadz GS out in under a year =(

The Hs 8.5x11. I turn it on it's side, now I don't experiance that dreaded mouse run off feeling

thats exactly how i setup my mouse pad....tilted 90 degrees. Does the HS stay completely flat or does it lift on the corners? Also how long have you had it and how much wear is visable? I have seen the cloth one and it seems good, but i dunno about how it wears over time. Im looking for the longest lasting MP i can find =)
 
Since Christmas. So far so good, stays in place,flat. Has the standard rubber type backing..........Darn....... you had to ask didn't you ! I just went to lift the corner up and the face seperated from the backing....... :eek: Darn you! :D Guess it's time to get the old jar of contact cement. Stays flat though

OMG im sorry....ehehe didnt mean to test it, was just wondering since the lifting corner is the problem with most thin-hard surfaced pads.
 
I'm using the Vantec Spectrum mouse pad, and while it was damn cool when I got it, it really doesn't seem to be well built. The plastic housing bends a little when any real force is put on it, to the point that if you push on it, and then release the pressure, it kind of squeaks. Also, the mousing surface is small....this isn't an issue for me, but most of the people I know that have gamed on my computer have complained about the size.

I thought that this would have been harder, but it's got some cushon and flex to it.
I wonder why they just don't have a slick hard surface, kinda like plexiglass but slick
 
My func 1030 has lasted over 3 years and the response is still as good as when I bought it. I like how it's reversible with the 2 differently textured surfaces. It's also pretty large, which I consider a bonus.
 
i use a mousepad i bought from disneyland last year, and to be honest its the best pad i ever used so far...lol :p

Like most people will tell you, will last years. Not the largest pad, but for 20something dollars you really cant go wrong w/ the func.
 
I use MX510 and Steelpad QcK, it's a big and awsome cloth pad. Before that I used Icemat black 2nd ed also a very nice pad.
 
I usually just use the desk, but I've recently quasi-temporary moved to a diffrent surface, with some sort of fake wood grain going on. That was completely unacceptable, so I got a generic jim bob one for the meantime. Are there any good ones sold at retail places?
 
Razer xactmat w/ a Explorer 3.0

I used a func 1030 for quite a while, but since I didn't have the metal case with it, it always was kind of flimsy for LAN party travel. xactmat is basically the same surface, only mounted on a piece of aluminum, seems way stronger to me.
 
One of the original Ratpadz. I got it almost 4 years ago and refuse to use anything else. Sometimes it gets a bit "crusty" and the mouse doesn't move very smoothly over the surface. A quick once-over with some pledge keeps the headshots coming and offers a nice lemon fresh scent.
