I currently own a Dell 2007WFP. Id like to upgrade to something larger in the range of 22 or more. Is there any monitor better than this one for gaming? Also, where would be a good place to sell my monitor?

I was able to find an LG L227WTG-PF tucked away at my local Best Buy for just $155, $140 after the gift card I used. It has a 2ms response time and virtually no input lag, so it's great for gaming. Its wide gamut doesn't bother me too much; I think it looks kind of nice. The only thing I'm a little miffed at is the glossy screen, but I'm trying to see if I can make due with it.

Call your local BB's and see if any of them have an L227 in stock. Since it's an older model, it won't be listed on the web site. I guarantee if you find one they'll only be too happy to see it sold!

You could try selling your 2007WFP on eBay, on here, or even on Craigslist. I've had a surprising success rate selling things over Craigslist. No fees, no worrying about who sends first, and people seem to be very eager to snatch up my old parts :)

But is the LG better than my Dell in terms of gaming & colors? I remeber reading the dell is a A-TSP or something & other monitors are not..

I believe the Dell 2007WFP used two different panels. The highly desired IPS panel and the less desirable (but still better than a cheap TN panel) S-PVA panel.

If you want a 22" LCD with good color reproduction, then your only real option is the Dell 2209WA which uses a new e-IPS panel. However, Dell has suspended production and is likely awaiting additional delivery of e-IPS panels from LG/Philips.

You currently have either an S-IPS or S-PVA monitor, depending on what Dell happened to throw in the box that day. I think you would be disappointed with a TN panel, which is what almost all 22" monitors are. You should look at getting the Dell 2209WA when it's available, since it's an e-IPS monitor.

I ended up getting a IPS panel. I feel that a 24 inch is too big but 20 is starting to be too small for me. I dont want to have to upgrade PCs often to run native res. However, can the 20 inch be put towards on new panel from dell or is it possible to sell anywhere?
