What kind of video card would I need to run WoW on maximum settings @ 1280x1024 with a framerate of 60+. Cheapest one possible... What kind of settings would I have to run a 7600GTS on to get 60fps?

Posting the rest of your specs would probably help.WoW is pretty easy on systems though. With the expansion coming soon you'll probably need a silghty beefer system than with current WoW.

Me and my sister both play WOW and that game isnt very GFX demanding, I am using Asus Geforce 7950 GX2 and with 8xAA 16x AF @1600x1200 it gives me 60+ FPS all the time. I spend around $510 on it, which is a lot for GFX card. But its worth it if also play games like Oblivion/GRAW/FEAR

While my sis's Rig uses Geforce 7900 GT and at 1600x1200 no AA/ 4xAF it gives around 45 avg fps. Which is not that bad bcuz these cards are getting really cheap around $220.

Try eVGA they have step up program, within 90 days you can upgrade your card to newer one.

a 7900gt is only getting that many frames at those settings somethings wrong.

you want a pretty quick cpu (lots of activity in the cities) and 2 gigs of ram. the video card doesnt matter that much as long as its recent

I had 1 gig of cheapo ram when i played WoW and it was fine. It was also running on a 3.4ghz P4E with an X800XL @ 1280x1024 with 2xAA and 8xAF and it was perfectly fine.

It all depends on what resolution you play at. If you play 1024x768, you dont need much. If you play 1920x1200 then you need alot.

Hmm, that 7900gt is getting bottlenecked by the rest of the system, you could probaly have the same fps if you were at 4aa, 8af.

So how would a the rig i'm getting be able to handle it.. estimated fps at amx settings with 4xaa?

AMD Athlon 3500+AM2
1gb Kingston ram
250gb SATA2 HD
Evga 7600GTS

I'm talking about running at 1280x1024

Should be able to run @ 1280x1024 with that rig...if not, 7900gs (great budget card).

I recently got a Dell 24", and still use my old X800XT. I range from 45-60 fps, at 1920x1200. Cant turn on all the eye candy, but it works. Couldnt beleive it ran actually, but its pretty nice. I payed way too much for this card a long time ago, Can now get under 100 I think for used. If it runs my 24", im sure it would push 1280x1040 just fine with almost max settings.
