what is your harddrive size?

I have four 20 gigabyte 20,000 rpm scatdrives.
Let me put on my waders for its gonna get deep " )

I have 200gb, and 180 more on a file server, and it's nowhere near enough. So what do I have on all that?
13gb of debian dvd images; 17gb of anime; 17gb of other iso files x2; 26gb of music x2; 21gb of digits of pi ;) ; 24 gb of games, and updates and things; 7gb of misc downloads; 32 gb of video, not counting DV grabs; and about 50gb of dv grabs in mpeg2 format. Plus 2 OS installs, and all the miscellaneous cruft that accumulates over the years.
<- pack rat. :p

20k rpm drives? when did these come out?

Editor has 2x 250, 160, and an 80.
Net machine has 2x 36 SCSI's, 60, and a 160

160 + 120 on my main system
40gb in the laptop
4.3gb in the SS20

Lappy = 80gb
other lappy = 40gb
SFF = single 400gb
externals; 2x400gb, 1x300gb, 4x200gb, 1x40gb
Dv editing machine; 1x10k 72gb 8x200gb
server (rs6000 in sig) quad 36gb 10k internal, 40x18gb 10k external (4 10drive enclosures attached by fibrechanel)
Grid lappy = 20mb internal :D

Two 74 gig Raptors.... (no raid) and a 160 storage drive....Just replaced my older storage drive with this one

74gb for OS
300gb for music/iso/movies/etc
going to grab another 300gb and RAID-1 em soon, once I figure out a backup solution that'll hold all my crap.

wow, you want to explain?

Main box ~~

Primary:
1x WD1600JD
Storage:
1x WD2500JD
2x WD2500JB

Other PCs here have assorted 80~120GB drives in them

hahahah funny stuff, this is like the geekized version of 'what is your penis size' :p

Normally just 30GB is enough for me, but ever since I got a capture card - even 160GB isn't cutting it.

74gb Raptor for windows and program files
250gb WD 8mb cache SATA drive for storage. I have 2 more of these in the mail comming my way.

I like 250gb drives right now for some reason just because 4x of them = 1TB (I know that won't be 1TB of useable but you know what I mean). I think the next HD size I'll prefer will be 500GB whenever they get to that.

1x 80Gb seagate for windows and games
2x200Gb seagate for storage

Just your regular Western Digital 120GB... :( wish I had a Raptor...

save your money and get a second 120gig :)
maybe its just me....but i prefer size over speed usually...especially when they arent THAT far apart from each other.....going from a 4200rpm 2mb cache to a raptor tho is a bit of a change :)

1x200gb in main desktop (a64)
1x60gb in the dual p3
1x80gb in the p4
1x60gb (7k2) in the lappy (p3)
the aXP is out of commision ATM :p

gonna pick up a new 250gb+ drive for the desktop, cause im out of space, and thats where i store all my stuff...

My server computer has the majority of the drives in my house--all my workstation PCs have either 160 GB or less, except my "main" computer which has a 200 GB SATA drive and a 100 GB IDE drive. Almost all are Western Digital drives. Here's what my server currently has:

2 x 250 GB SATA (RAID 1) - boot drive
2 x 160 GB IDE - storage
2 x 120 GB IDE - storage

TOTAL STORAGE = 810 GB
