ok i have a 6800Gt OC to and Ultra and EVERY FORCEWARE DRIVER above 77.50 screws up my WMP while watching a movie. ANY movie i watch the picture is screwed up even with REal player it happens. anyone know why???
 
Does it to me too. Cranks the gamma way too far up on the video overlay. This is a simple fix though.

Go into your Geforce properties, click on the color correction tab. Change "Apply color changes to:" so that it says all, then go down and click "Restore Defaults." Apply that and you are good to go.
 
i had that problem and tried all of that stuff and it never worked. today i got my 2001FP hooked it up and everything works perfect.

go figure.

Did you install the 2001FP driver, of just did a generic Plug and Play? Installing the specific monitor driver and associated color profiles fixes a lot of issues.
 
I heard that in the newer drivers it forces avi playback into hardware mode or something and there is a codec fix for it... we'll this is from a post I read a while back... can't remember all the details... sorry if this seems vaigue. :p
 
I think your caps lock button is broken. That is the first problem I would try to fix.
 
They need to sticky the fix for this so we don't have 10 threads a day about it.
 
I have the same problem and if this works I will be a very happy man. Some codecs I installed screwed up my stuff and now all the colors are totally messed up. :)

 
yep, I had the same problem and the reset worked. I was freaking out because I had just dl F1 in Silverstone and couldn't watch it!
 
It worked. Damn it. You are geniuses. I have been pissed :mad: at that for weeks, but no more. I no longer have to use one of the other computers to watch movies :D . I am so happy I will go out and drink today!!!
