What is worng with my P2P?

Well when I try to connect in Kazaa Lite K++, it says it is connecting but is there froever. And in WinMX I can only make a secondary connection. When I try to switch it to primary, it says IO can't before I have no TCP port for incoming connections and No UDP port for incoming and outgoing packets. I should also mention that this computer is wireless. Should I do some port fowarding? If so, what ports? I used to have troubles with my Bit Torrent but fowarding ports fixed them.
 
Ya you definately need to forward ports for your P2P stuff. You should be able to find the IP and UDP ports to forward on Kazaa's website.

BTW...Port Fowarding is only for wireless right?
 
I am looking around that site and I can't find a mention of port fowarding what-so-ever...
 
Just a guess here, but are you using XP with SP2 installed? I've heard that SP2 does something to make p2p programs not function properly. If so, I will look for the link that explains this and fix it.

Try again only this time use this first :
Automatic Winsock Fix Utility removal of
software ,and installing software can wrek havoc on your TCP/IP
your internet connection .This will restore all the regeistry back to
origanal config.

And this is modded tcp/ip sys file ,difference is the the lvllord patch took it to 50
this gives you unlimted

How do I "uninstall" the lvllord patch I already installed?
 
Hmm. I feel bad for posting that link. I thought it would have fixed the problem. :eek: Did it make your p2p connection worst or is it still the same? Sorry about that jamezzz122.
 
Seems the same...

I am not at college...I used to be able to use P2P fine on Windows 2000. Now it is all funny acting on XP SP2...I can use Limeiwre fine but KazaaLite and WinMX are fubared...

There is only one TCP/IP .SYS file ,the new one you have to install manually,
when you do that it's going to ask you do you want to replace with the new one.! ?
of course you say YES.
