What is this?

Looks sweet, but I have a feeling in person it doesn't look as good - can see a bit of the bay cover center edges in that blurry pic. Wouldn't that also become a dust magnet since the bottoms are exposed?
 
I don't see how it would be any more of a dust magnet since the whole front panel is mesh anyway. I know there are filters, but still...
 
Those are speakers believe it or not. Let me see if I can remember/find it.
 
I was going to say, looks more like one of the "Rifleman" series temp / fanspeed controllers to me.
