Someone is asking to buy my computer and I have no idea what to ask, here are the spec's:

aluminum atx tower
8x dvd-rom
32x12x48 cd-writer
mai geforce 4 ti4400
512 pc 2100 ddr ram
ecs k7s5a mobo
1700+ XP Athlon
Volcano 7 hff
60gig seagate baracuda 7200rpm

any ideas?? thank you.
 
I am being serious. Who are you selling it to? A non computer person, or a computer person?

If you are selling it to a non computer person, go for 1800, and then bargain down. If you're selling it to a computer person, go and price list every part, add or subtract accordingly, and then ask for that...

I forgot to mention it would come with windows xp.

I was told by someone here about $500 or $600.

as in did you mean 570/w ?
 
I would say about $450 without an OS on it, just add the cost of the OS of their choice, build, prime, sell
