My friend was playing Call of Duty with me last night. I told him the console command for frames per second. He was getting 7 to 20 at best fps with this card . I know nobody buys these cards for games. Would this card really be this bad? He has a P4. thx

He has a ATI FireGL 8800.
 
fire gl 8800 is pretty much a ati 8500, so just look around for some ati 8500 benches for call of duty
 
If your friend has a FireGL he either knows what it's for already, or stupidly purchased the most expensive card he could get without paying attention to what he was buying.

I noticed a lot of those type of cards on there about a year ago.
