NulloModo said:Not sure if that is a joke or not, but it is true. Outside of the high-end professional market Creative cards are the standard, and honestly, it is probably good for the consumer. For games it means all surround will be programmed for EAX, as opposed to when Aureal was still in the running and some came out supporting A3D as the primary API, and some with EAX, either way leaving some people left out.

Vista has no DirectSound support.
