what is the socket voltage ?

i wanted to know what is the normal socket voltage in U.S.i think it is 120 V.i have just got my new logitech speakers from U.S.i do not want to blow them up.here it is 240 V
 
yup basically described as 110V a normal wall outlet

then a stove for instance would have 220V (your 240)
there might be a difference in Hz as well
 
110/120V of AC at 60hz at a sinusoidal frequency :) , im assuming the frequency is sinusoidal as well over where you are... do they sell converters over there?

check the rating on the transformer...
 
Your speakers will have a sticker that tells you what voltage and power they run at... it's required for CE/CSA/UL/etc certification.
