the OD size doesnt matter now, ima try to find the quietest pump,

or can anyone find me a review on testing all the pumps

My mag 3 is silent. I'm not kidding, my comp isnt making any noise besides the dually 120mm 5v blowholes. I seriously cannot hear it at all. You can feel it running if you put your hand on the case, but otherwise nothing.
 
sounds good. what's the full name of your pump? my switech jammie is, well, a HOG for noise...i despise it. price?
 
he's talking about the Danner Mag 3, also known as the Supreme mag 3, also known as the PondMaster Mag 3 or Pondmaster 3
You should be able to pick one up at PetSMART or online at marinedepot.com. Marinedepot.com probaby has the best prices for one.

agree, it vibrates a bit more than the eheim variants, but it's pretty quiet (when you can get it situated)... gotta run it at a 90 degree angle or variant

it lives up to the name -- I can't hear it...even though it moves 1140gph. :)
 
that mag 3 is kind of hard to figure out. and it looks super expensive. am i right in reading it cost upwards of $150?
