The first two are the same price just different ways of getting it. The first is $334 with $40 rebate while the second one has a $25 cash back with a price of $359 and another $25 evga crap.
Same cards different packaging. If you plan on getting evga again, then the second one is a better deal as you can use the extra $25 evga voucher for something later. It is an advertising gimmick. I would wait a few more weeks if you can and let the nvidia-based cards duke it out with the newly released ati cards. Prices may go down and you can benefit from it. I am waiting a few weeks and then use the evga step up program to get myself the newest evga 7800 series card (from two 7800gts...).

If they're the same card then why the different model numbers? One isn't labeled whitebox/OEM and the other retail.

Ugh

I would just hate to order one thinking it was a better deal and find out later that the other model was the preferable one since it's amp "goes to eleven."

Looking at both cards, they seemed identical in specifications to me. If you are not sure, get the first one (with AX at the end for model number). I got 2 of those and they are definitely 7800gts. Also, they are pretty good overclockers. However, under sli they do not overclock too well (not sure why).

You can always do a google search or call newegg to find out more about the discrepancy in model number.

honestly, they are all the same physical boards except for the warranties and heatsinks/fans.
