What is the difference between these two X800XLs?

Interesting. I had wondered when these would start showing up online.

That is just plain weird. Maybe they were offering a better price and neglected to remove the old instance. Or maybe it's a db error, or a commenting error. Maybe the 299.99 version has 128mb instead of 256...hrm. They are both the exact same as listed though right now.

is the XL the 12 or 16 pipe card. i just payed 420$ for my PCI-E X800 PRO, wonder if i payed too much =/

I believe its the 16 pipe card. It seems to be the new "6600GT' as the midrange card to get.

And its going to be made with the .11 micron process, instead of the .13 low-k process. So I'm wondering how its going to overclock.

The current 6600's are made with the .11 micron process so maybe these cards will overclock to 500Mhz? These could turn out to be some really fast cards.

But it doesnt make sense that they perform as well as the much higher priced X800Pro and X850Pro's ( which was just released)

So...

X800XL = 16P 400/1000 .11 299$

X800 PRO = 12P 450/940 .13 L-K 399$

....= i win? :p

No, you lose. X800XL retails for $350 and should be as fast as the higher clocked but 12 piped $400 X850pro. Thanks for playing! :p

That X800 XL is the most intriguing video card so far and I bet it will be the most successfull. High performance, low cost, no power connector needed, low heat.. It is a shame that my system does not have PCI-E :( otherwise I would jump on this one.

Each item may came from different distributor with different price .. maybe?

If this weighs to be true, should be interesting to see the sales of 6800GT versus X800XL. I know the 6800GT already has sales, but when it comes to performance/price, should be interesting to see :)
