Hello there,

I just bought a Thermaltake toughpower 700 modular and reading the volts using Speed fan (I know is not accurate but just looking at the variances) I see the 5v and 12v are stable and don't change between idle and load but the 3.3v goes a bit down a full load. I also notice the Vcore b goes down as well a bit (maybe chipset reading???).

So I wonder what components in my pc are loading the 3.3v????

Max load for 3.3v is 30A

With my old Tt 480w butterfly the only fluctuating reading was the 12v whith only 18A

my system is:

Asrock dual sata 939
Opteron 170 at 270x10 1.41v
7900GTO (8800GTS 320mb waiting in the box for 5 days!!! as I am testing if the card still artifacting in BF2 with the new psu before RMA)
1 HD 7200 200GB Hitachy sata 2 and 1 x DVDR, 1x floppy
Supertalent2 x 1GB PC 4000 (at 2700)
SB XFi
2 Fans
2 x TFT (dual view)

Ram, PCI and on board items like Firewire controllers and audio use the 3.3V rail.

Thanks.

I this case I don't understand how 2 x 1GB at 270 and 2.7v and a Xfi can stress the rail
shall i add fans attach to the mobo too (BTW only one) ? and chipset too?

Fans won't make a bit of difference. They run on the 12V rail.
