On my Abit IC7-G, under the temperature monitoring software, there is a thing called "PWM." What is this, and is it something I could put a RAM sink on or something to help cool it down?

...ding, ding, ding...!! The winnah....trungma said:PWM is pulse width modulation is how computers change voltages in DC. Depending on the currrent pulse and length a corresponding voltage is produced. The black squares you generally see are transitors that are part of the PWM circuitry. These tend to run warm. The power supply has them too, that's what the big heatsinks in the powersupplies are cooling.
