On my Abit IC7-G, under the temperature monitoring software, there is a thing called "PWM." What is this, and is it something I could put a RAM sink on or something to help cool it down?
 
PWM is pulse width modulation is how computers change voltages in DC. Depending on the currrent pulse and length a corresponding voltage is produced. The black squares you generally see are transitors that are part of the PWM circuitry. These tend to run warm. The power supply has them too, that's what the big heatsinks in the powersupplies are cooling.

Seriously, he's on the money. The "PWM" temperature reading are the voltage regulators on your motherboard. The way they regulate DC is by "Pulse Width Modulation" ergo, the name.

The 411 here is to watch for sudden, unusual changes in their temperature. Like the CPU, they will warm and cool depending on load. Whey they get unusually warm, that tells you something is drawing lots more current and while it may be normal, it's sure worth figuring out.
