hey guys ive been overclocking my Pentium D 805 and i've posted questions before about my setup, but now i wish to know why i can't push my system even further.
normally when i can't push my its because the temps are too high but i get 28C idle and about 41 at full load (220 x 20)
im cranking the voltage all the way upto 1.6v, if i put it at 1.61 or 1.62 it crashes like immediately after putting a heat load on it so im pretty sure that 1.6 is my ceiling for some reason.
anyhow i tried setting the memory to SPD and increasing the voltage on all the components on my asus p5wdg2-ws so they are 'pink' colored (cept for the vcore which is red) which helped me get to 228 x 20 @ 1.6v (4560mhz) (but my question is WHY oh why can i not push it any further im getting pretty cool temps, how do other people do it?
