I've been having problems running games since I "up"graded to Vista a couple of months ago. No matter what graphics driver I use, I have problems with most games. Either they crash immediately, or they have huge artifacts everywhere, or my graphics card resets itself every few minutes. So I reinstalled XP in a dual boot setup. The strange thing is, I'm having the same kinds of problems there too! Most games run, but they always have problems with polygonal artifacts shooting out everywhere, covering the screen. A few games run perfectly.

This is the latest crap to hit my screen, while playing Call Of Duty 4 for the first time. Either it starts this way, or it runs fine for a minute or two then does this. Doesn't seem to matter what settings I use. I've never seen anything like this before so I'm wondering exactly what could cause it. If Vista has somehow buggered my card then surely all games would look like this.
Anyone?
Oh, I suppose it would be helpful to post my specs.
Core2 Quad 6600, not overclocked, 2GB PC800, 256MB Geforce 7900GT. Nothing is overclocked.
