Just got my EK water blocks for my northbridge and my mosfet. The mosfet come with a thermal pad. What should I use the thermal pad or my MX-2 thermal compound on the mosfet ,if it matters at all

If use the mx2 if possible. As long as the block can make solid contact with the mx2, you'll have better heat transfer with it. I also feel that its not an uber critical part to watercool, so the 5c or less difference between the two shouldn't effect much.

Got my water blocks installed on the northbridge and mosfet. Everything install with no problems. Ended up using the thermal pad on the mosfet, there is no way I was going to get compound on all of them little blocks, so I just use the pad. It is working fine. Raise my overclock from 3456 MHZ to 3608 MHz after I installed the other blocks. Just finish running Prime 95 on all 4 cores at once, 24 hours and NO Errors.
