The stock heatsink for my 4800+ is super noisy after 30 minutes of use. The damn fan ticks me off big time! So I'm now looking into getting a better cpu heatsink/fan.
Here are two that I was looking at:
1: Thermaltake Big Typhoon
2: Zalman CNPS7700-Cu
I've got ASUS A8N-SLI Premium mb + Antec p180 case + using up all 4 RAM slots. Which of these is a better fit? And which of these is a better/quieter cooler? Is there a better cooler than these two?
Also, I've got Arctic Alumina cooling compound. Some people say Arctic Silver 5 is much better and others say it doesn't really matter. Do I really need to go out and buy AS 5?
Thanks for all your help guys!!
