I don't overclock so I don't care about that but if its on their its a plus . I just want a solid board that will last .

What other features do you need? RAID? Firewire? two 16x PCI-E slots?

If you don't need any extras, the Abit IP35-E or Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L are good. If you want RAID, the P35-DS3R is good. If you need Firewire, the Asus P5K will work. If you need both RAID and Firewire, the Abit IP35 is your best deal. If you need more bells and whistles, check out the Asus P5K-E, Abit IP35 Pro, or Gigabyte DS4.

The 680i A1 from eVGA is nice. Currently running one with my Q6600 B3 stepping and it's rock solid.

the P35 is a nice board whats the main difference between the pro and e ?

EVGA's 680i seems to be the best 680i board out there. They recently released a bios (P31) that significantly improved Quad overclocking.

But without overclocking, any board is basically stable.

Do you mean the IP35 series from Abit? Here's a side-by-side: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...2E16813127031,N82E16813127029,N82E16813127030

Things that aren't mentioned in that sbs link, the Pro is more enthusiast friendly with its "overclocking tools." It has a CMOS Reset button on the rear I/O panel, heatpipe cooling for the chipsets, and the uGuru OC'ing tool.

I agree, if you need SLI, the eVGA 680i A1 is the best choice. If you don't need SLI, get a P35 board.
