What is a good TV Captur setup?

I have a ATI Radeon 8500 all in wonder.
I have this connected to my Dish Network Receiver and can easily capture tv shows with the ATI Software.

Is this a good setup? What would be a better? I know there are newer model ATI AIW cards out there.
Also is there another software I can use other than the ATI???

I ask because I am interested in captureing soccer matches and put them up as torrents and even burn them to DVDs.

any advice?

ATI E-HOME WONDER - much cheaper than PVR-250 but uses the same Connexant MPEG encoder chip. works with SageTV like a wonder! :)
 
The WinTV PVR 250 is the way to go. The ATi cards do fine, but use more CPU power, as their encoding is software-based. The Hauppage's, on the other hand, do entirely hardware encoding.

ie. if you have a big, phatty proc in your HTPC, your ATi will be a-ok. Otherwise, look into the Hauppage's.

This ATI E-HOME WONDER thing looks to be about the same deal; except it only officially supports WinXP MCE.
