What is a good/best sound card to go with Klipsch Promedia 2.1'a?

I know there are quite a few "recommend me" threads in this forum but I wanted to know what would be a good sound card to get for replacing my Turtle Beach Santa Cruz. I love the card but I have too many issues installing drivers when something messes up and I'd like something that would work without any "tricks." I haven't throughly done any research yet but the last I heard an Audigy was the card to get.

I currently run Windows 2000 and would like a sound card that is used mainly for Music and Movies along with my Klipsch Promedia 2.1's.
