The hole saw doesn't look that expensive. Now the drill press... that's another story! If only I cut enough holes to justify spending the money on a press...

Yup, it is a 120mm fan. Had to go with a 4.5inch holesaw which is the closest size and costs about 40$ CDN. It is pretty expensive but I'm going to be using it over and over. Already done several other 120mm holes for my case mod project so it pays off in the long run versus using cut-off wheels. And yeah, the drill press is great.

I use to build speakers in the back room of apartments we lived in, I would just work during the day while both neighbors were at work (I work nights). I can only imagine what the cleaning crew thought of after we moved out and vacuumed up a whole trees worth of sawdust out of the carpet

Depending on where you go (Northern Tools, Harbor Freight, Home Depot), you can get a bench top press for $70-$100. Should be enough power for most projects. You can always justify the price if you want to

Beautiful watch and ring........just a friendly safety tip......when working with metal....or using metal working machinery.........it is a real good habit to get into if you remove jewelry before working...... nice work BTW. I know it seems silly....just working with a drill press......but I have seen things go wrong real quick.........and bad habits are hard to loose as you progress. I havent worn a ring in 15 years.....and I carry a pocket watch or keep my wrist watch in my apron at work.

Agreed. Since I had the thing clamped down, I wasn't really anywhere near the actuall drill but I'll deifnitly keep that in mind.

I saw a bench top Ryobi drill press at Home Depot for $99.99. I'd have picked it up too, but I'm going to be moving (hopefully) in a few months, so I'll get it after that.
