ok i posted on another forum but still want more feedback from people.

i was thinking of getting a retail 2500+ cpu but i gonna overclock it to 3200 or 2800 at least. i know the stock hsf will do but i have an extra 25$ so i can get oem cpu and a hsf under 20$ extra 5$ for shipping from newegg.

pulled out a few from newegg

Speeze FalconRock 11$

Cooler Master Aero 7 lite 15$

Speeze WisperRock 10$

there are others on the search list but thought these stood out. anyone use these or have experience with them?

computer is on front room so noise cant be to high.

is it better to get one of these <20$ hsf or stay with stock?

this is for my first cpu build ordering cpu/vid card on sunday night and then wait for them to come in to put it all together! hehe cant wait!

thanks for any replys/views

I've got the Coolermaster Aero 7 Lite and its awsome. Pretty quiet for the amount of air it pushes. At full blast my temps are 28 idle and ~35 full load. At minimum my temps are 35 idle and ~43 full load. Haven't tried any of the other ones though...

EDIT - whoops, I've got the coolermaster with the copper heatsink, my bad.

tr2tt m2 from newegg 11$(10.99) best for the price m8 its REALLY close to the areo flow from vantec like less then 3c in most cases and it uses the tmd fan (nice fans)

i use one on my 1700+(133x11)@2600+(200x10.5)

temps are lower then with the volcano 7+ i had (and its ALOT quieter)

i use that speeze one temps are fine on my XP 2700 ... idle around 96F to 100F / under Load 110F... an its quiet to boot

www.noblepcs.com

they sell OCZ stuff, a lot of it is under $20-- i got my athlon XP cooler, the dominator II for $10, and it works well...little noisy, but if noise isn't a concern...

also, you might try www.dansdata.com to see his tests of thermal dissipation on like.. a hundred coolers, scientifically, it's pretty decent... as is www.frostytech.com i htink that's the site...

id go for the volcano 7+.. its a little loud at full speed, but probably still the best cooler thermaltake has.
