I'm going to be purchasing a 3500+ Winchester and a MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum for Christmas, and I was wondering what HSF I should get. Preferably something that takes 92mm fans would be best, because I have a 92x38mm Tornado already and I could just move it over to my new system.

Keep in mind that I'm looking for around 2.6Ghz - 2.7Ghz on air.

seems how you already got the tornados... my advice would be thermalright xp-90

have it too with 92mm tornado, runs nice and cool at 1.45v @ 2600 on my 3200 winchester

idleing right now at 36c

well.......this is probably not going to help u but.....

if u get a SLI board (yes, they should be out by christmass) u can just get a xp-120 and buy a new fan.........

Well, I have quite a few 120's that I'm going to use for my future watercooling setup that I ran out of money to build, but what would getting an SLI board have to do with the XP-120?

I didn't get the XP-120 because on Thermalright's website it said on the compatability chart that the mobo I'm getting isn't compatable with the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum.

All the reviews out there are crowning the XP-90 the king. Woudlnt the XP-120 be as cool or cooler with same sound output? I'd figure

A) Bigger HSF = more displacement
B) 120mm fan = less DB @ same CFM so it should be quieter?

Agree or disagree?
