What gaming headset should I get?

I find the behind-the-head strap headsets very annoying and prone to slipage. Also, sound quality and isolation on low-end Logitechs are quite bad in my experience.

If you can spend a few more bucks, these are a big step up in sound and comfort. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826265063 If you look around, you might even find them cheaper. I use the USB version (among many other headsets) as a back-up and they are surprisingly good for the money.
 
the plantronics gamecom1 is 19.99 at newegg and comfy, great mic. ok sound- the best that plantronics has made imho
 
also check amazon for steelsound 3h. much better sound than the plantronics but not as comfy
 
Thanks everyone, Both Planatronics are the same price at Amazon so I am trying to decide. Leaning towards the PLANTRONICS .Audio 355 because the other one has foam ears. Cord of 6.5 ft is plenty long.

Any advantages to usb? other than being able to plug it in to the front of your pc case.
 
usb can allow you to use headphones for one program and your speakers/soundcard for the other since it uses separate drivers

I do it with ventrilo and any other game I'm running, very convenient
