• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but I couldn't find the answer in the [H]ardrules or the FAQ. If I have less than 50 posts, which forums can I post to?

I can't even offer Demonoid invites in the Free Stuff forum!

You can post in all forums excepted the FS/FT and [H]otDeals, including the subforums of those 2 forums. For these 2 areas, you need over 50 posts so just contribute around to qualify yourself.

Ah, I wasn't thinking that free stuff was part of For Sale/Trade, but that makes sense.

Can't believe I've been lurking for over 3 years and still have such a long way to go...

Free Stuff is part of HotDeals, not FS/T. Both require 50 posts before you can post in them. The reasoning is to help eliminate drive-by pimpage.

You have been here 3.1 years, contact Kyle directly and he may be willing to grandfather you in. :)

Thanks, Lethal - I think the policy makes sense. Looks like most forums have taken up that policy in the last few months. For now, I think I will work on earning my posting privileges the old-fashioned way, but I'll keep the possibility of going directly to Kyle in mind! Thanks, guys!

The rule was implimented to stop the rash of n00bs registering here to pimp web sites and products in a hit and run fashion. This was one way to stop that cold and it has had the desired effect. It was not meant to keep long time low posters out of the forums. Contact Kyle and get fixed up.

It's not hard to get your post count up here with all the activity. Kudos to you for not taking the easy way out and deciding to contribute :).
