I would say either would do fine, maybe lowest cost = better. Do you already have playback software?
You may be able to take the drive out of this external asus usb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135251 and get it for $70 AR, not sure if the drive is mini sata or atapi (IDE) though....

Might lose the warranty if you rip it out, for the few dollars I'd buy the non-usb one.

Both of those drives are reg. Sata, so that is good, no blueray movie player apps., but I won't really watch movies on my PC anyway.
