What does Tray/Box mean in intel Ark?

Generally boxed is the retail version (can sometimes come with a heatsink - not all do).

Tray is what is given to OEMs (Dell, ASUS, Alienware). If you were to take this CPU out their system and run a warranty check on it, you'd find out that has no warranty through Intel. Also, OEM can describe CPUs that are without packaging and come in a plastic case. You can only warranty these with the place you bought them at.
