What does the 2405fpw need?

So, I am very close to picking up a 2405fpw and need to pick out a video card. I was going to go with a 7800GT, but will that be enough to play games and really use the 2405fpw?
 
Yep, will run it just fine. My GTX does good, but even with that I need to tweak my settings, 1920x1200 is LOT of pixels to render and when you add AF/ AA/ HDR ect.ect... even a GTX can slow to a crawl.

Don't worry, if you were running a 6600GT I'd be worried.

It depends on whether you NEED to run everything at 4xAA 16xAF; uber-high settings all the time.

I using an ATI x800XL to push pixels at my 2405 and am really satisfied with the results. I plan on waiting a generation or two (R580?) before upgrading my graphics card.

Well in my case, AA I think is a fucking joke so I never use it, just AF. Now if I enable HDR in Far Cry at that resolution, then the framerates take a huge dive and I have to either turn it off or decrease to 1860x1080 to get my framerates playable, to me anyway.
