right now im useing a ms intellamouse 5 buten optical mouse with 3-4 layers of scotch tape on all 4 pads, on one of my moms "slick" covered home and garden mags with the most used ariea covered in lined up(ie. flush with unnoticable seems between strips) scotch tape. works vary well if i do sayso myself, not the prittyist or quietist solutions, but it works

I use a black Best Buy mousepad that I purchased for $5 about 4 years ago. I've just grown to use to the little bastard.

Sometimes, I use a desk though, if I go to a LAN party or something. The perks of an optical mouse...

Dark Assassin

a 3M Precision Mousing Surface, and a 2 Button w/Scroll MS Intellimouse, Works perfect for me. Or sometimes my desk if my dad steals my mousepad.

MX700, no pad. Don't see the need for one with an optical, my desk is good enough.

I use a func pad, but I need something with a wrist rest.

i just got 2 ratpadz in the mail...since my crappy desk surface is being torn up from years of use, it's getting harder to use a mouse to it's optimum ability. Well this ratpadz, it's certainly going to be the last mousing surface I ever buy...it's solid plastic (or whatever special composite it's made out of), mousing is nice and smooth...it really grips the tabletop...which I like very much, as my previous mousepad would slide everywhere. So not to sound like an adversitement, but I'm very sastified with my purchase.:)

Agreed. MX700 on my POS wood laminate desk without a hickup.

i use a ratpadz gs, it's a little over a year old i think (have the GS been out that long???) and there are some spots where it is completely smooth.

here is a picture so it makes a little more sense:

I'm not unhappy with the product, i really only bought it to show some support for the [H], but i'd recomend another pad.

BTW: mouse is an mx500

I wouldn't be the only one to admit it:

Max payne 1 mousepad that came with the origanal game ;-)
and some little squre oem shit for my elft hand mouse.

YES I use left and right hand mouses!

olfa rotary mat.
I think its for cutting stuff with xacto type knives.

anyways it works for me.

I just use the desk here. Since all the systems here have optical mice, I haven't had a mousepad in ages.

original ratpadz

everyone always complains that that they wear down but I've never had any problems. Maybe people should not push down so hard? (i don't even wear down my mouse feet)

To the window, to the wall, sweat drip down my mouse ball. I find the original ratpadz to be great for mice with balls. Smooth and you don't get all the fabric particles from the cloth pads in there.

Went to my locals Fry's to get a mouse pad with the wrist gel because I purchased a new computer desk and it was a little too low to use with my mouse and my wrist was hurting. To my surprise, this only costed a buck. One of those mysterious sales that Fry's has and no one even knows about until they actually ring it up on the register (I also got some rounded IDE cables for $3 this way heh).

Works very well in games with my mx300. ;)

roughed slab of granite. 22 dollars at home depot, but its solid and works better than any hyped pos 'gameing' surface.

I have a mircosoft 3.0a mouse and a Ratpadz gs and i have the same problem with some of the areas being really smooth and others bumpy. It also does wear down the mouse feet pretty badly. It did work really really good when i first got it though.

hehe, megamat? I could use this thing for a blanket if it got too cold.

I'm using one of those old intellimouse optical USB mice from a long time back with just my desk.
