Alright, these are the final specs for my friends comp....

Abit IC7-MAX3
P4 2.8C
Mushkin 1GB PC-3500 Lvl 1
ATI 9800 Pro
WD SE 120 GB

Now, the case we are going to order comes with a 400 watt iCute power supply, is that gonna be enough for that system?

Cheap power supplies can ruin expensive computer components. I've never heared of iCute, so I would think they would be uber-cheap quality. If you want to be safe, I'd pick up a name brand power supply of like 350 watts or so. Stick with Antec, Fortron, Enermax, Vantec or ThermalTake. If I forgot any name brands, someone please feel free to add on.

A cheap power supply can ruin a completely good computer. It's worth the investment to keep your computer safe and increase stability.

Just my two cents :)

ic7-max3's rock as you can see in my sig.

fine piece of ass you have going there [computer silly;) ]

raptors are too expensive for my tastes

but if you have the money get two and put then in raid0:D

That 400W PS you have will be fine, no need to get a different one. The rest of your setup looks good too.

i would say if he isnt OC'ing then stick with what u got...if is planning on doing some serious OC'ing then it might be worth upgrading...but only if he finds the iCute isnt up to it...
