I'm using x64 vista and I just got my x1900gt today, I thought I'd be able to overclock it with ati overdrive but I dont see it in the catalyst, I used atitool and ati tray tools back when I had xp, it's just to much of hassle to disable driver signing that its not even worth ocing my video cards anymore. Does anyone know of any signed utilities for overclocking an x1900gt?

Make sure you have the latest ATI driver + CCC installed. During the installation process make sure you choose the advanced option over the basic. The advanced option offers all the tweaking options including ati overdrive. :)
The latest version of ATI tool 0.26 disables driver signing automatically, haven't tried it in vista yet though.

actually, i chose advanced and it didn't show Overdrive in my Catalyst options (installed 7.10 on my new radeon 2900pro). I've seen it before with my older x1900xtx, but not this time. But i like using ATITOOL 0.27 beta for my 2900pro. it's a great program.

I still dont see overdrive, anyways is .27 signed because i just tried .26 and its not

lmao so theres no option to overclock in vista x64 with ati? Overdrive doesn't show up, rivatuner doesn't work. There are no overclocking options....ridiculous.

With a 2900XT to get the overdrive to show you need to have a 3x2 and 4x2 Pin PCI-E power pluged in, instead of just two 3x2.

With Vista 64 you can use AMD GPU tool to overclock and the guy who does ATItool got his signed driver cert so he will be releasing a version that will work with Vista 64, should hopefully be version .28 beta with the change..
