What do you clean with?

Hi all,

So that 680i LT w/ Q6600 rig I posted about in another thread needs cleaned. The system has a Swiftech 120x240 radiator, an EK Nickel + Acetal waterblock on the GPU, I believe a Swiftech block on the CPU and chipset. It probably hasn't been cleaned in a couple years, but the liquid level has been kept up (with PrimoChill).

It's not overclocked so it has done a fine job keeping temps low.

Has anyone here used the Mayhem Blitz Pro system? I've read decent to good things about it, despite it being $50 and coming from the UK. Is there anything else out there as comprehensive?

This isn't a rig I necessarily want to spend any more money on, so taking it all apart may cause problems... Not that it is necessary, but I'll want to replace the tubing, and such... even though it's not required.

Thoughts?

Well looks like it is coming apart to be cleaned, and tubing is getting replaced. It's really gross. Haha.

I run distilled water through the loop for at least an hour prior to dis-assembly. Then again, I only run non-conductive / non-corrosive fluid through my loop; such as Feser One.

I have this same question. My loop sat stagnate for a long time (almost 2 years...pump died and I moved out of the country, finally came home and got a new pump).

Anyway, the water was distilled water with a kill coil, but theres a white film coating the reservoir and the hoses, and the cooling efficiency is reduced.

Cleaning the reservoir should be easy enough, but how about the water block and radiator? I imagine I'll just buy all new hose.
