Dot pitch is a measurement that indicates the diagonal (or in some cases horizontal, if specified) distance between like-colored phosphor dots on a monitor. The lower the number, results in a crisper, more clean image.

so, smaller = better.
 
umm, if it's any way possible - it would be a better idea to purchase a new monitor. That one in the link is recertified.
