Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Has anyone heard what the extra 197 pins do in LGA 775 over Socket 478? Is it more power + grounding, addressing for the i64, or something else we dont know about?
Probably also provisions for an onboard memory controller , if they are smart. I assume that most of the additional contacts are in reserved status at this point...
That sounds about right.... I have a feeling they're gonna be back up around 1.5V once they get to the 4GHz mark. But I think it will also let them go out to 64bit while keeping the same processor layout.
